Problem Sets

    There will be weekly problem sets, approximately 8 of them. The first problem set will be released Monday, January 4th and will be due Friday, January 15th by 11:59PM. Thereafter, the problem sets will be released on Fridays, starting on January 8th, and will be due on Friday the following week by 11:59PM. The first problem set will be slightly longer than the others. A random subset of the assigned problems will be graded for credit. The lowest score will be dropped at the end of the quarter.     You are responsible for adhering to the Problem Set Guidelines in the syllabus.

Take-Home Exams

    Midterm: This take-home exam will be released on Friday, February 12th and will be due on Friday, February 19th at 11:59PM. The content of the exam will be roughly chapters 1-4 of the textbook. The exam will not include material covered after Thursday, February 4th (the last lecture before the exam is released). Your submission must be typset using LaTeX. No problem set will be assigned the week of the midterm.
    Final: This cumulative take-home exam will be released on Friday, March 12th and will be due on Friday, March 19th. Your submission must be typeset using $\LaTeX$. § Quick $\LaTeX$ Guide

    The .tex and .pdf files for the problem sets and take-home exams will be released below. There is a link to view the files on Overleaf: it is "view only", but you can copy the $\LaTeX$ code from there. The .tex file can be used as a template for your submission.
