Research
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Mathematics Department at the University of California Santa Cruz expecting to graduate in June 2023. I am interested in the role of symmetry and geometry in the dynamics of mechanical systems, I work on non-integrable distributions from the point of view of sub-Riemannian geometry and non-holonomic mechanics. In particular, I focus on sub-Riemannian geodesics in Carnot groups and the n-trailer system.
