Applied Discrete Mathematics
Quizzes and Final
General Instructions:
All quizzes and the final exam in this class will be taken using
Gradescope. You can access Gradescope
directly via the link, or through Canvas.
Perform the following steps to take a quiz or the final exam.

Go to Gradescope --> Assignments and click on the link for
the quiz/exam.

View the PDF file containing the test questions. Work the problems carefully
and neatly. You may print the quiz and write your answers on the printed copy,
OR write your answers on your own paper, being sure to label each answer
clearly, OR you may type your answers using a text editor.

Save your answers as a PDF file. If you've written your answers, scan your
paper as PDF. Gradescope has
advice and instructions
for scanning your work on a mobile device. If you've typed your answers,
convert your file to PDF.

Upload your PDF file to the appropiate assignment on Gradescope.
Quizzes will be available on the dates listed below, and will be open from 4:00pm
to 10:00pm. You will have 45 minutes to complete each quiz.
The final exam will be available Wednesday March 16 from 4:00pm to 12:00 midnight, and
you will have 2 hours to complete the final. Keep in mind that you must complete
each quiz/exam within the given 6-hour window, so for instance, if you start a quiz at 9:50pm,
you will have only 10 minutes to finish. Please plan accordingly. All times
are local to California, United States.
There are a number of helpful articles and instructional videos for students at
Gradescope Student Center
. Please explore these resources before you take the first quiz. In
particular, make sure that before you start a quiz, you know how to either scan pages
as PDF on your mobile device, or convert a file to PDF.
If you have any technical problems during a quiz, please bring them to the attention
of Teaching Assistant
