My current research focuses on understanding life-history and migration variations in salmon and trout. Aiming to inform and improve management and conservation strategies.
Spring and Fall run Chinook salmon are the two major ecotypes of Chinook in the Klamath River. Future research will assess the details of the different migration patterns.
Steelhead are the anadromous form of rainbow trout. A multigenerational pedigree analysis of steelhead from the Russian River allows me to assess the heritability of various physiological traits. Heritable traits have selection potential from human actions.
