Anne's Research

My current research focuses on understanding genetic and behavior variations in salmon ecotypes. A better understanding will lead to better management and conservation of these important species.

Chinook Salmon Ecotypes

Spring and Fall run Chinook salmon are the two major ecotypes of Chinook in the Klamath River. My future research for my disertation will look at their genetic differences and the details of the different migration patterns throughout their lifetimes.

Steelhead Pedigrees

Steelhead are the anadromous form of rainbow trout. A multigenerational pedigree of steelhead from the Russian River is allowing me to assess the heritability of various physiological traits.

Fish, Fisheries and Climate Change Working Group

This group meets on a weekly basis to address the issues with Climate Vulnerability Assessments and discuss how the process can be improved.
