• Work the problems carefully and neatly.  You may write your solutions by hand or use a text editor.  Note that CrowdGrader includes an editor that supports mathematical notation.  Be aware that neatness and readability will count towards your grade.  Do not include your name or identifying information on your homework paper. We will identify you through your CrowdGrader account name (which must be your UCSC email address).
• Scan your paper as a pdf file.  Note there are many free scanner apps for both iPhone and Android that will convert an image to pdf.  If you use the CrowdGrader editor, no scan will be necessary.
• Upload your pdf file before the deadline by following the submission link next to the assignment. 
• The review period will begin after solutions are posted, and will last about 4 days.  Use the posted solutions, together with the CrowdGrader rubric, to evaluate the papers of 5 randomly selected  students.  The rubric for each assignment will consist of three catagories: neatness, completeness and correctness.
• You will receive two grades, one based on your homework submission (your submission grade), the other based on the accuracy of your reviews of other students' work (your review grade).  These grades will be combined to give your crowdgrade, which will be your score on the assignment.
• Students may appeal their submission grade by presenting their case to Teaching Assistant Jayanth Yetukuri (jyetukur@ucsc.edu).
