Bridge at UCSC.

Before joining the UCSC Linguistics department, I completed a joint B.A. in Linguistics & Psychology at UMass Amherst, where I worked with Lyn Frazier, Chuck Clifton, and John Kingston. I then spent two years as the lab manager for the UCLA Language Processing Lab, directed by Jesse Harris.

During graduate school, I was a founding member of the UCSC Equity in Linguistics working group, which organized wellness events for graduate students and hosted pedagogy workshops for faculty and graduate student instructors. I've also been a co-organizer of the UCSC Syntax, Semantics, and Language Processing Lab meetings.

Wherever I am, I enjoy finding peaceful parks with small bodies of water to walk along, picnic near, or sketch.
