Brocade sold the access switch line to Ruckus. Ruckus got absorbed into Aris. In 2019, CommScope acquired ARRIS and RUCKUS. 7xxx switches are Broadcom based. Because stacking protocols are vendor proprietary, that the 7850 can be stacked with other 7xxx switches is strong evidence that this is some sort of Broadcom part, probably Trident 3.
