I am a second-year PhD student in the Department of Linguistics at UC Santa Cruz. Before that I was the lab manager at the Child Language Lab at NYU, by way of UMass Amherst where I received a BA in Linguistics and Psychology.

I am primarily interested in language processing, especially as it relates to the incremental building of sentence structure and composition of sentence meaning.

I am particularly interested in the structure and processing of Telugu, a Dravidian language spoken in India, and more recently, Santiago Laxopa Zapotec, a Oaxacan language spoken in Mexico. I firmly believe that the rigorous investigation of such understudied languages will enrich and refine theory in psycholinguistics.

I am a member of several department reading groups, namely s/lab, s-circle, and wlma. I currently co-coordinate s/lab with Lalitha Balachandran.
