Riding Motorcycles in College

My name is Raul Lara, I'm a student at the University of California, Santa Cruz and am currently working on a guide to navigating college with a motorcycle called "BS on Two Wheels: A Guide to Navigating College on a Motorcycle". You could say that motorcycles are kind of my thing. But I also enjoy programming, optoelectronics, and learning about the latest technology! If you'd like to connect with me you can do so through my LinkedIn.

I usually check my e-mail more often, but since my university e-mail won't be good forever, feel free to e-mail me at my personal e-mail.

Because there are so many aspects when it comes to motorcycles, and what might be the right type of motorcycle for the occasion, the book is broken into several main sections.
  1. Introduction
  2. Dress for the Slide, Not the Ride
  3. Choosing a Scooter
  4. Small to Mid-sized Motorcycles (250cc-500cc)
  5. Mid-sized to Touring Motorcycles (650cc-1000cc)
  6. Technology to Look Out For
  7. Financial Reports

Each section will go more indepth on the topic, but an overview of the topics will be discussed such as:
This might seem like a lot but a motorcycle should be seen as an investment in transportation and some of the best roads and trips I've had were on a motorcycle. At the time of writing this, my best trip was going on a motorcycle trip with my brother and friend up to Oregon in the summer of 2017. Here's a video :

So with that I leave you with a final photo of me broken down only three hours after the trip had started with my friend and my brother taking the photo. It took me an hour or two, but I was able to fix the bike and get back on the road to complete the multi-day trip. So if you choose to get a motorcycle, ride safe and hope to see you on the road. If you don't, then make sure to watch out for us while you're texting or calling in your car. We have lives too you know!
