Programming Assignments

Perform the following steps to develop and submit your programming projects in this class.
  1. Create a free beginner account on PythonAnywhere using your official UCSC email address.  For instance, if your address is CruzID@ucsc.edu, then your username in PythonAnywere must be CruzID and your email address must be CruzID@ucsc.edu.
  2. Once your account is created, go to the account tab, then the teacher tab, then nominate Spring2020CSE20Tantalo as teacher.
  3. Create a directory for each programming assignment you turn in.  For instance, for programming assignment 1, you will create a directory called pa1.  For programming assignment 2, create a directory called pa2.
  4. You may write your programs directly in the PythonAnywhere editor, and save them to the correct directory for that assignment, or you may develop your programs on your own computer, and upload your files to PythonAnywhere.
  5. Each programming assignment has a built in 12-hour grace period, therefore if a program is due at 10:00pm, grading will not begin until 10:00am the next morning.  If an assignment is extended, the 12-hour grace period is also extended by the same amount.  All times are given in local California time (Pacific Daylight Time).  If you are in another time zone, you can easily convert to and from PDT by going to: https://www.worldtimebuddy.com/

pa1:  Due Wednesday April 8, 10:00pm      Extended again to Friday April 10, 10:00pm
 pa2:  Due Thursday April 16, 10:00pm       Extended again to Saturday April 18, 10:00pm   
pa3:  Due Friday April 24, 10:00pm            Extended again to Tuesday April 28, 10:00pm        
pa4:  Due Monday May 4, 10:00pm            Extended again to Wednesday May 6, 10:00pm  
pa5:  Due Tuesday May 12, 10:00pm          Extended again to Thursday May 14, 10:00pm (last one)           
pa6:  Due Wednesday May 20, 10:00pm      Extended  yet again to Saturday May 23, 10:00pm (absolutely last one)   
pa7:  Due Thursday May 28, 10:00pm         Extended yet again to Sunday May 31, 10:00 pm (last one)      
pa8:  Due Thursday June 4, 10:00pm          Extended to Saturday June 6, 10:00pm (absolutely last one)
