The William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition is a prestigious university-level mathematics examination held annually in the United States and Canada. It is designed to test creativity, knowledge, and mathematical problem-solving skills.
Date: First Saturday in December
Eligibility: Full-time undergraduate students in the US and Canada.
Format: The exam consists of two sessions, each with six challenging math problems.
Topics: Includes algebra, combinatorics, geometry, number theory, and calculus.
