Geographic Range: Alaska to Baja California, Mexico. Synonyms:

Hopkin's Reef, Monterey Co., CA; 23 Nov 1975; 33mm. Dorsal valve, encrusted with purple coralline algae.

Description: Color grey, yellow or reddish. Shell wider than long, with radial ribs.
Size: up to 56mm wide.
Notes: Attached to the underside of large rocks and rock shelves. Extremely rare & the only brachiopod likely to be found in the rocky intertidal in the Monterey Bay area.
