About :

Hello!

I am a Ph.D. student in the Applied Mathematics department at University of California, Santa Cruz. I currently work on Stratified Shear flows in Astrophysics to understand Stellar Structure & Evolution. I completed my under-graduate studies in Aerospace Engineering. After which I went on to pursue post-graduate studies in Geophysics with special emphasis on Planetary Sciences. Later, graduated with Master’s degree in Remote Sensing & GIS.

My hobbies & other interests include singing, dancing, playing tennis, photography, traveling & star gazing.

Research Interests:

  • Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics : Modeling Shear instabilities in Stellar interiors,Sheared Fingering Convection

  • Dynamics and Thermodynamics of the interstellar medium
  • Planetary Mapping and Space Exploration
    • To study features and surface processes on planetary bodies throughout the solar system to understand evolution
  • Lunar Regolith Studies
  • Mars Hydrology
  • Impact Cratering
