My name is Janice--pronounced "juh-neese," not "jan-iss." Some people just call me Juh.

By "some people," I mean café baristas, because I don't want them to misspell/mispronounce my actual first name.

It Me

Why I went to University

I knew very early on that I wanted to pursue a B.S. in Cognitive Science (AI/HCI), but I also knew I wanted to push myself with a double major. So, I mentally switched from Music, to Psychology, to Sociology, and finally settled on a B.A. in Feminist Studies (sci, tech, med) near the end of my second year. I think both of my majors are incredibly important for my development on an intellectual, professional, and interpersonal level. Being the conflicted person I am, I always strive to make seemingly disparate things work together. I honestly do believe these knowledge formations can reinforce one another, and I look forward to seeing how I can apply some of the things I learn in whatever career path(s) I take!

Possible Career Directions(?)

Since both of my majors are interdisciplinary by nature, I feel both empowered by my versatile academic background and also intimidated about my lack of strict focus. Regardless, here are some things I think i would be interested in professionally!
