Rainbows were a mystery for a long time, until Isaac Newton discovered how a rainbow forms.
- Sunlight is made up of all the colors in the rainbow. When the colors are mixed together, it is white light. Which we see everyday.
- When sunlight travels through a raindrop, the colors separate causing a rainbow.
- Rainbows were named after their shape. The arc looks like a bow from a bow and arrow. They also only showed up when it rained. Therefore they created the name rainbow.
- No two people will ever see the same rainbow because from different angles, different people see different raindrops.
