A hollow wave

Here are some wave facts:
  • Waves in the ocean can travel thousands of miles before reaching land.
  • The combination of factors that influence wave growth are called a Stochastic process.
  • Wave growth formation is effected by several factors, including:
    1. Wind speed / strength
    2. The distance the wind blows without significant change in direction (Also known as the fetch)
    3. Width of area effected by the fetch
    4. Wind duration (Amount of time the wind has blown over the water)
    5. Water Depth
