Math 19A - Calculus For Science, Engineering, And Mathematics - Fall 2019
Textbook:
We will be using Jon Rogawski's Calculus: Early Transcendentals book.
However, as these books are very expensive, you don't need a copy of the latest (3rd edition).
A copy of the previous 2nd edition will be fine. (Used copies of the 2nd edition are going for less than $15 on Amazon.)
The textbook comes in two versions, one larger book which includes content on multivariable calculus, and a smaller book only with single-variable calculus material.
You only need the single-variable calculus.
In summary, either of the following books will be fine:
- Jon Rogawski and Colin Adams -- Single Variable Calculus: Early Transcendentals, 3rd edition (2014, 752 pages, W.H. Freeman) [ISBN-13: 978-1464171741]
- Jon Rogawski -- Single Variable Calculus: Early Trasncendentals, 2nd edition (2011, 766 pages, W.H. Freeman) [ISBN-13: 978-1429231824]
You do not need access to WebAssign.
