As a high school graduation gift, my dad and I took a trip to Tanzania.
On The Way To The Dive Spot
The dive spot was about a 1.5 hour boat ride from Zanzibar.
Here I am sitting on top of a modified Dhow boat for diving.
With all the gear and tanks the boat got pretty crowded but got everyone on the boat to talk with each other.
After a very long yet smooth boat ride we finally arrived at our spot!
The crew took another 20 minutes to prep the boat and the equipment for us to use.
Mask and Snorkel
Buoyancy Control Device
Regulator and Gauge
Suited Up and Ready to Dive
With our equipment on, we now had to do the Pre-Dive Safety Check.
All equipment is checked in the following standardized order known as BWRAF:
- Buoyancy Control Device
- Final Check
After two 45-minute dives and a lunch on the Indian ocean we headed back to the island
