Adrian Drummond-Cole is a doctoral candidate in the History of Consciousness at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He holds a masters degree in Humanities and Social Thought from New York University. His dissertation—Making Water Liquid—explores the entanglements of finance, sovereignty, and landscape infrastructure with a focus on the sociotechnical governance of groundwater in California’s Central Valley. Adrian has taught courses on computing and governance as well as the history and politics of information. His work has been supported by the Social Science Research Council and The Humanities Institute at UC Santa Cruz. Adrian is an avid cyclist and enthusiastic cook.
