Adrian Drummond-Cole

Adrian Drummond-Cole completed his PhD in the History of Consciousness at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He holds a masters degree in Humanities and Social Thought from New York University. His dissertation—Making Water Liquid—explores the entanglements of finance, sovereignty, and landscape infrastructure with a focus on the sociotechnical governance of groundwater in California’s Central Valley. Adrian teaches courses on environmental justice, environmental history, geography, science and technology studies, media studies, and American studies. His work has been supported by the Social Science Research Council and The Humanities Institute at UC Santa Cruz. Adrian is an avid cyclist, drummer, and home chef.
