I started windsurfing about 1984. I learned on HiFly in the Santa Cruz harbor, but didn't get hooked until the first time I got planing - when the board skips across the surface of the water. After that I bought a Ypsi and have been spending money and having fun ever since.
Here's a picture of me windsurfing in 50kts(55mph) winds at Roosevelt on the Columbia
River Gorge. I'm on a 2.9m sail!
