The Journey Begins...
I had visited England the before and decided I wanted to go back to bike tour. My friends Bruce and Annette were going to tour Europe too. Bruce was going to a sailing world championship in Germany in July; Annette and I would meet him in London in August. We would bike tour together for 10 days, and then they would need to leave. I would continue on my own for another week.
Our plan was to meet in London where we could initially stay with Bruce's aunt. This would time to rest and assemble our bikes. Then we would ride to sourthern England to take a ferry to France. Then we would ride our bikes up the Loire River Valley which is known for its beautiful castles and gardens.
