journal

We had ridden from Anger to Orlean. Bruce and Annette now needed to return to London to fly to the US. They were going to rent a car to drive through Paris and then to Calais. Since there wasn't much to see between Orlean and Paris I hitched a ride. They dropped me off on the ourskirts of Paris and we said our goodbyes.

I then called André who I had met two years earlier while bike touring in Washington. He had a job giving bicycling tours of Paris. He gave me a private and fast-paced tour of Paris
