Research Overview

We are interested in finding out what babies know in their first two years of life. Your baby will watch a show designed to test a concept. For example, we might test whether your baby understands anything about gravity by showing him/her a box floating in midair. Your baby will be with you the whole time, sitting on your lap. We observe babies' reactions to the show and see if they are surprised by the magic part of the show. If they are surprised, then that means they understand something about the particular concept we are testing.
