I am interested in using optical signatures to define water masses in coastal systems. The main components of my work include using the optical properties of chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) to identify and track the evolution of water masses such as river plumes and algal blooms. I work with both in situ and remote sensing optical data.
I also have a background in vascular plant physiology and climate change research
