Surfing Class Description

Learn to surf? These courses are designed for beginner surfers, yet more experienced surfers are welcome to take the classes and improve upon their skills. Learn to read the surf conditions, and choose the safest entry and exit point of the surf break, also paddling and wave catching techniques, standing up, turning and surfing etiquette. This extensive 6 week surf training course covers all the basics. Class will meet one day a week. We'll travel to various Santa Cruz surf spots from the Westside to the beach breaks of Monterey Bay. Enjoy the marine life and possibly surf with the dolphins. Students are encouraged to surf as much as possible outside of the class. Get the best tips and coaching from our excellent surfing staff. Prerequisite: You must know how to swim - ocean experience extremely helpful. Sign up in advance.

Class 2: Tues, Jan. 27-March 10, 9:45 am-12:15 pm (no class Feb. 17)
Class 3: Weds, Jan. 28-Feb. 25, 6:45-9:15 am
Class 4: Weds, Jan. 28-Feb. 25, 9:45 am-12:15 pm

Cost: $83 (instruction, transportation, wetsuit, booties & board)
