My Regular Surf Spots...
Santa Cruz
- Wherever it's good or convenient! I guess at this point this is the most important principle, guided by that well-known phrase: "When in doubt, go out!"
- Beaches (These are where you are most likely to find me.)
- Rio (Homebeach)
- La Selva/Manresa
- Place de Mar
- Unnamed sandbars (It's a big bay with lots of access!)
- East Side (Regularly, since it's between work and home, and closer to home when the beaches blow out.)
- Sharks Cove/The Hook
- Pleasure Point: First/Middle/Second Peak
- Privates
- West Side (Occassionally, although I'm not as familiar with the breaks or the locals on this side of town.)
- The Lane
- Rivermouth (sort of)
- Cowell's
- South Monterey Bay (Places like Moss Landing and others when surf and wind conditions dictate, and I have the time to cruise down.)
- Secret Spots (Whenever! It's surprising how often you can get some of these good if you're watching 'em.)
Central California (Such as Carmel, Big Sur, Morro Bay, and other points south. Use your imagination here since the locals tend to want to keep their areas quiet. Not necessarily hostile, just low key.)
Southern California (My old haunts when I lived down south. Still hit 'em when visiting family and friends.)
- Santa Barbara Region
- Ventura Area
- "C" Street
- Rivermouth
- Hueneme
- Los Angeles County
- Malibu
- Secos
- County Line
- Zuma
- Points South
- Huntington Beach
- Trestles (Upper and Lower)
- Oceanside
- North San Diego County
Hawaii(HI), Mexico, Costa Rica(CR), Australia, New Zealand, Indo...(Ok, so I'm a dreamer!)
