In applying to participate in CSUN SURF CLUB activities, competitions, and tournaments, I promise to inspect the beachsite, and assure myself that the area is safe for surfing, and further agree that I will not surf in any surfing activity unless I am satisfied that the area and conditions are safe for surfing purposes.
I will further read and comply with all CSUN Student Club rules and regulations, note existing weather conditions, and do agree that I voluntarily assume all risks arising from conditions related to the use of the surfing activity site by myself and others.
In consideration of your acceptance of my application for membership. I, intending to be legally bound hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, hold harmless and release, and forever discharge the CSUN SURF CLUB, Associated Students Inc., California State University Northridge, the State of California, any city, state or county beach, the CSUN SURF CLUB Officers, Advisors, Coaches, and Members, Amateur Athletic Union, all Club Sponsors, and any officials connected with the surfing activities, from all liability for injuries and damage whatsoever, arising from my presence or participation in the above described events.
I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the level of activity I intend to participate in, and do hereby grant the Sponsors such release as described herein. I acknowledge that I have read and understood all of the above.
