I am interested in the spatiotemporal responses of small mammal communities to changes in climate and anthropogenic land-use over the last 10,000 years. I use both modern and fossil archives to investigate the structure and dynamics of historical communities. This applied paleontological approach is motivated by the need to better understand and predict the future fates of species and ecosystems in this rapidly changing world.
