My requirements for recommendation letters:
If you plan to ask me for a recommendation letter, you must bring me the following:
- Any forms that I need to include, already filled out with necessary information about you (and my contact info, if necessary)
- A well-written draft of the application essay for the program(s) to which you are applying. (VERY IMPORTANT). This should make it clear why you are applying to a particular program. It should also discuss why you are a good candidate for the program.
- Stamped, addressed envelopes with my return address (see my homepage).
- A copy of your narrative evaluations.
