Th  9   Read Writer's Reference   (hereafter WR) C1-3 (skim C-4) on the writing process. Read SL 141-50. Read Craig SL 161-73.

 

T 14   Bring semiotic prewrite. Read Solomon SL 409-19. WR skim G1-3, read G4-6 on grammar.

 

Th 16  Ad draft due (bring enough copies for your writing group). Optional: bring/email digital ads and images for culture jamming. Skim Wolf 486-94. Read WR P1-2 on commas.

 

T 21  Ad revision due (include feedback sheet, representative rough draft(s) and prewriting). Sign up for midterm conference (recommended). WR P3-5 on punctuation

June

T 2   Bring a truly re-vised research paper, 6-8 pp. long, with 5-8 sources (at least three from academic sources). Specify purpose and audience, and include a paragraph that summarizes the feedback and states how you addressed those issues. In-class: Peer critiques using term paper checklist . Presentations

 

Th 4 Bring portfolio (all papers except handouts, optional journal) with your self-evaluation form . Presentations
