RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES LAB MEMBERS PUBLICATIONS PALEOBIOLOGY DATABASE STATISTICS IN R
I am a contributor to the Paleobiology Database, a collaborative international project that ultimately seeks to compile all published records of Phanerozoic invertebrates, vertebrates, plants, and protists.  The main goal has been to document Phanerozoic diversity trends, but the data have been used to answer many other paleobiological and paleoecological questions.

All data in the Paleobiology Database are available to the public, for download and analysis, at www.paleodb.org.  The database also includes analytical tools for generating sampling-standardized diversity trends using the shareholder quorum subsampling (SQS) method of Alroy (2010).

The database is always seeking new contributors.  If you have a time interval or taxonomic group you would like to add, visit the website and contact John Alroy.
