My collaborators and I are currently studying the production and comprehension of fillers, discourse markers, prosody, and gestures across a variety of communicative settings. The settings include vicarious learning (where students listen in on others' communication), spontaneous written communication (instant messaging), and bilingual (comparing production across the two languages).
