I study ecological and evolutionary processes - natural and human-caused - that maintain or imperil biological diversity.  Recognizing that measures to conserve biodiversity consistently relate to human behaviour, I am increasingly interested in natural and social science questions relating to the contemporary ‘human animal’.  

My interests reside in three research domains:
