Pool Walkthrough

The following is a step-by-step walkthrough of how to complete the participation component of your final project.

Step 1

After you register and log-in (the Pool generates username for you and sends it to your email), click "Jump In" on the right side of the navigation bar.

Next, select "Art Pool" from the drop down menu,

And, then click "FDM20c-2011-Spring" from the jumbled mess.

Step 2

Now you are in "the Pool." The next thing you need to do is post your intent. To do this, click on options at the top,

...and click on creation.

This dialogue box appears. Be sure to fill in the title and description, as well as choosing "FDM20c-2011-Spring" from the subject dropdown menu. Don't forget to submit

Step 3

After your intent is posted, you need to do two more things (1) describe your approach and (2) add some reviews. To add your approach, you must find your recently posted project (from the last step). The easiest way to do this is to search for your project by keyword. Return to the option menu and type some words in the search field (shown below).

Next, click on your project and the dialogue box will return. Click on the inside rectange to the left side (shown below).

Now you can post your approach. Two important notes: (1) for your approach, you are required to add a URL - just link to your UCSC people page (or something else), it doesn't really matter, and (2) to add a review, click on someone else's project, click on the inside rectange, and then choose "add a review."
