Adam Thompson served his internship with us from July 14 – September 3, 2003. During this period, Adam developed and exhibited a creative understanding of database applications, as well as networking concepts such as the OSI model, addressing, and TCP/IP. These he successfully applied in the solution of real problems in various database, web development and programming project using in PHP and SQL.
Adam designed, supervised the installation, and configured a LAN for one of our new clients. Among his great accomplishments was to single-handedly redesign a clients database to ensure higher security and efficiency. He also setup new web and email servers and gained experience in the installation and configuration of wireless bridges for broadband Internet access.
Adam is, without a doubt, one of the most productive interns we have had. He is a dedicated student with excellent work ethics. His persistence in dealing with complex problems is admirable. He showed great ability for independent and creative work.
Adam’s self-discipline and commitment to the success of projects were remarkable. He proved to be a natural team leader and project manager. Cultural differences were no problem to him, and his good interpersonal skills came to light.
