Global
warming predictions are based primarily on simulations of future climate using
General Circulation Models (GCMs).
Global warming Mitigation and Adaptation strategies are being designed,
in a large part based on the predictions made by GCMs. Yet, we know that many important
climate processes are not understood and/or not well parameterized in
GCMs.
How can
drilling be used to greatly improve our ability to predict, mitigate and adapt
to future global warming?
