Calculus, Early Transcendentals,
sixth
edition, by James Stewart.
Thomson Brooks/Cole, 2008.
- or -
(2) Multivariable
Calculus, sixth edition, by James Stewart. Thomson
Brooks/Cole, 2008.
Version (2) is consists of
Chapters 12-17 version (1). Students should not
purchase any version that has "Single Variable Calculus" in the
title, since
that would be
Chapters 1-11 of version (1). Non "Early
Transcendentals" editions are fine, but the chapter numbers will be
off-by-one.
Editions other than 6th are also fine, but
in that case, students should compare their version to the 6th
edition (there are 3 copies on reserve at the Science Library) to make
sure there is no confusion with problem numbers and
statements.
