Th 12 Past, Present Future due (be sure to always include rough drafts and prewriting, and cover sheet). Skim Goffman Ch 9 (217-233
T 17 Bring Tagmemic prewrite (here's an example). Read Severin 21-45
Th 19 Bring gateway draft. Read Goffman ch. 11 (233-43. Skim Ch. 12 (244-63). WR skim G1-3, read G4-6 on grammar [RFW 19-28].
T 24 Meet at McHenry Library (on time!) Th 11 Dialogue due. Last day to turn in corrected papers. In-class: readings questions and how to write essay exams.
T 15 Midterm. Bring your journal. (in class: conference signups. Please bring all your papers,
journal, and any questions you have about them to the conference).
Th 17 Argument/ Insanely Great draft due.
T 22 Argument/IG paper due (be sure to always include rough drafts and prewriting, and cover sheet). WR R 2-4 on research [RFW 49-50].
Th 24 Read WR MLA 1-3 on documentation. Bring four copies of the paper that you will revise for final revision w/ your questions written on them.
T 29 Workshop: bring your partners' papers w/ your written answers and comments.
Th 31 Presentations? WR skim MLA 4-5 on research sources and format. Review RW S1-7 on style.

T 5 Bring a truly re-vised research paper (minimum 8pp. long, with min. 5-8 sources, at least three from academic/print sources at McHenry). Specify purpose and audience, and include a paragraph that summarizes the feedback and states how you addressed those issues. Optional: include the printout of your Melvyl/CDL search and note cards. In-class: Peer critiques using term paper checklist . Presentations?
